Welcome to the Online Tutorial Site

Accessing My Online Portal (text version)

Welcome to My Online Portal from Distance Minnesota. The portal is a one stop location for everything you’ll need in your online classes.

1. Begin by going to the Distance Minnesota website at www.distance.minnesota.edu.
2. Click the MyOnline Portal link on the right-hand side.
3. Type your username in the box. (If you are unsure of your username, click the name of your school at the bottom of the login box).
4. Next, enter your Tech ID in the password box.
5. Finally, choose the college that you are attending and click the sign in button.
6. We are now inside the portal. From this location, you will be able to access your email, your online courses and Desire 2 Learn, the online bookstore, and you’ll also be able to find any forms you may need in the future.
7. After your initial registration has been completed, you will be able to register for subsequent semesters from within the portal.
8. You will gain access to the portal 24-48 hours after initial registration.
