- Educational Requirements
- School district principals/counselors will discuss with prospective junior and senior students the advantages and disadvantages of taking an online college credit course
- Interested juniors and seniors will be assisted in the testing and registration process for OCHS
- OCHS students will be scheduled for courses on a daily basis during one of the school’s regularly scheduled class periods
- A proctor(s) will be assigned to the students in the OCHS program to assure that the students are working on the course on a daily basis and also to monitor the student’s performance on a bi-weekly basis. If a student’s performance falls below the passing level the proctor will report the performance to the building principal
- Fee Structure
- The Cooperative and other participating secondary consortiums contract with the participating colleges to provide the classes based on a fixed fee of $5,232.00 for a 2 credit class, $7,851.00 for a 3 credit class, and $10,464.00 for a 4 credit class. The contracted amount for all classes offered in a semester is divided by the total students enrolled that semester to determine a per student cost. For example, if there were four 3-credit classes offered in a semester for a total contracted cost of $30,240 and there were 85 students registered in the class, the per student cost would be $356.00. The Cooperative will do everything possible to assure that per student costs will not exceed $440 per student for a 3 credit class. The school district will be obligated to pay the student tuition for each student unless the student officially drops from the class 7 calendar days before the first day of class
