Administrative Responsibilities
- Discuss the OCHS brochure and the memorandum of agreement with the Superintendent to assure that the school will meet the educational financial requirements of the OCHS program.
- Use the OCHS brochure as an informational tool for school board members, students, and parents.
- Know the cost of the classes and how class size affects the cost. Visit with your Tech Prep Coordinator to learn the current costs.
- Cost of Class
- For the 2007-08 school year, a two credit course will cost a district approximately $295.00 per student; a three credit course will cost a school district approximately $445.00 per student; and a four credit course will cost a school district approximately $595.00 per student. Textbook costs are additional. Student registrations received between April 28 and September 5, 2007 are considered late registrations, and are subject to the additional 5% late fee.
- Assign a proctor that will work with the students.
- Become familiar with student eligibility requirements for OCHS courses.
- Be aware of the course offerings each semester and if there are prerequisites required.
- Become familiar with timelines for Accuplacer testing, registering, textbook ordering, class start and ending dates (usually does not align with the high school calendar), and drop dates.

- Assist students in completing the online application to the OCHS program. Once the application is received the college will email you with directions on how the student should register for courses. Once the students have registered you will receive confirmation from the Minnesota Online Support Office.
- Help student fill out the online application to Online College in High School How to Apply
- You will receive an email with a link to the Concurrent Enrollment form.
- Instruct students to take the printed "Concurrent Form" home for Parent or guardian signature, and to return the signed copy to you or designated person.
- Compile official documents (transcript, assessment scores, and signed copy of "Concurrent Form" and send to Online College in the High School, Minnesota Online Support Center PO Box 309, Perham, MN 56573.
- For students who have taken OCHS courses in prior term or year

- Inform your technology coordinator about the computer specifications needed to support the OCHS program.
- The Online College in the High School Program courses are delivered to participating high school students through a computer. Internet access is required, PC computer format is preferred. Courses are delivered thorough the Desire 2 Learn platform, and are in an asynchronous format.
- Ensure that all of the computer and technical requirements are met.
- Principal, counselor or designee orders books for the students. The Tech Prep Coordinator will send you the required information necessary to order the textbooks.
- Assure that students have received their college transcripts after the course has been completed and encourage students to complete the OCHS survey near the end of the semester. (Survey will be sent through the college email.)
- Monitor US Mail for copy of student transcripts sent from College Registrars at the end of the semester.
- Encourage students to complete the Online College in High School Survey sent to their college email.
