If you were awarded federal financial aid to attend a Gulf States college or university, your aid will follow you if you attend a Minnesota State College or University. Tuition deferrals
To ensure you are enrolled and able to continue your education as quickly as possible, college and university officials will work with you to defer tuition payments until your sources of aid are reestablished or new sources are located. Scholarships
The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Foundation is organizing a special scholarship fund to assist students enrolled at colleges and universities now closed by hurricane damage who are temporarily enrolling in one of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities. The fund will assist eligible students with education related expenses in the immediate terms (fall 2005, spring 2006).

Financial assistance to eligible students in need will occur on a one-time basis with maximum awards of $5000 per person. Need and award determinations will be made on campus by student life and financial aid advisors.
