Minnesota State Colleges and Universities is opening its doors and hearts to help college students displaced by Hurricane Katrina. The 53 campuses will make every effort to expedite the enrollment process and to personalize advising to determine the best possible arrangement.

1) Who should employees contact about campuses or individual employees getting involved in the Katrina Response?
Campus employees should contact their President or designee to discuss housing initiatives and host families, special projects, fund raising and donations, student association activities, out-of-state travel, legal issues, etc.

2) Where should I direct individuals wishing to make a donation to The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Foundation fund for students displaced by the floods?
The Foundation has put forth a special initiative to help students. More information about the initiative is available at the Katrina Student Relief Fund. Pledges and monetary donations may be submitted by credit card, by cashier's check, or in cash.

3) What will other Minnesota State Colleges and Universities campuses do to help students?
The Office of the Chancellor staff is assisting Presidents with organizing their resources into a system response.
